On 21 July 1581 Chever was mandated in the Vice-Chancellor's Court to present an account of debtors and creditors during his stewardship, and was given a week to do so on pain of a fine of £10 (see University Archives: Collect.Admin.6a (Buckle Book) fol. 152.
