Biographical / Historical
Mawson was admitted to the college in 1701, and proceeded BA in 1704/5, MA in 1708, BD in 1716 and DD in 1725. He was a Fellow from 1707 to 1724, Master from 1724 to 1744, and Vice-Chancellor from 1730 to 1732. He was Bishop of Llandaff from 1738, or Chichester from 1740 and of Ely from 1754 to his death, at Kensington, on 22 November 1770.
