Grant of two booths (soldas) to the Alderman of the gild of the church of St Mary., 1285
Scope and Contents
The booths are in the street where meat is sold set between the booths of Thomas Edmund’s son and of Henry of Whaddon. Yearly rent: 4s to the Prior of Anglesey; 8d as the King’s hagable, etc., 4d for mass with a rose to the granters.
Witnesses: John But, mayor; John Portehors, John Martin, William Elyot, Bartholomew Gogging, Richard Bateman senior, Richard Bateman junior, John Mathelaske, Michael Pilat, John de Tykehull, clerk.
The property came to be part of the college site.
