Scope and Contents
to find two chaplains to celebrate for the souls of John, his father, and others in the church of St Mary , to 'Le Master and scholars' of the College, founded by the combined gilds of Corpus Christi and the Blessed Virgin Mary, which college now holds the said messuage by charter of enfeoffment of the said gilds licensed by the king. In return, the Master and scholars are to find two chaplains to celebrate for John’s soul in the churches of St Botolph and St Bene’t..
Witnesses: Stephen son of John Morice, mayor; William of Horwode, Henry of Tangmere, Daniel of Felsted, Richard of Ardern.
