Scope and Contents
Inspeximus at request of Edmond Beaupre of an Inquisition post mortem of 11th June 1513 on John de Vere, Earl of Oxford. De Vere bequeathed the manors of Barwycke and Scotneys in Essex to Margery Durward, late wife of John Durward. This was then reverted to John de Vere and his wife Christina on death of the Durwards. On 1st September 1512 de Vere made his will leaving the reversions of Gelham, Toppysfeld, Brawyk and Scotneys to his heirs.
