Misson is in the county of Nottinghamshire, although the estate the College owned is spread over part of the border of Lincolnshire that is described in some gazetteers as "so intermixed with Nottinghamshire, that the boundaries of the two counties are almost indefinible" and is based in both Misson and Wroot. As such it was decided to catalogue all items relating to Wroot and Misson under Lincolnshire.
