Biographical / Historical
Gillian Beer is a literary critic and academic.
She was a fellow of Girton College, Cambridge, for 30 years. Between 1994 and 2001 she was President of Clare College as well as King Edward VII Professor of English Literature at the University of Cambridge until 2002.
