Y. S. Lee is a PhD candidate of Management Science, Judge Business School at University of Cambridge. Her PhD is on how to build a flexible hospital which can cope with the demand uncertainties in the future healthcare system. As a first step, she was trying to understand how uncertain the future hospital demand is by comparing projected demand and realised demand. She also wanted to find out how the hospital infrastructure has been changed to cope with unforeseen demand. 1. any document on forecasting hospital demand 2. hospital activity (length of stay, no. of patients, no. of operating theatres) statistics for top 10 disease groups/speciality for last 30-40 years 3. any document recording the physical changes of hospital infrastructure (e.g. expansion)
