Biographical / Historical
Rosemary Hall studied for her PhD at Imperial College. Her PhD is on the history of the use of bacteriology, specifically, looking at the period 1880 to 1939. She looked at diagnosis and treatment in the hospital for the diseases of typhoid fever, pulmonary tuberculosis and diphtheria, and examined everyday life reactions to epidemics through the medium of schools, occupational health, and asylums.
