Accident Book - an inventory of fall, mishaps and slips, 2009
Scope and Contents
Accident Book catalogues the moments when a body lets you down in some way falling off bicycles, power-tool slips, car crashes or DIY mishaps. Each short description of an accident is paired with an anatomical drawing of the guilty body part drawn from life in the UCL Anatomy Department.

Accident Prone Artist Admitted to 8 Different Hospital Accident and Emergency Wards
UCLH Arts, has commissioned Internationally renowned but accident prone artist Simon Faithfull has created a book cataloguing his mishaps. ‘Accident Book’ which chronicles, through text and drawing, in the form of a book, all the accidents that have occurred in the artist’s life.
From June 2009 onwards, people waiting for treatment, prognoses or friends, began to discover books lying amongst the copies of old magazines. The 500 copies of Accident Book distributed through these eight hospitals are each individually numbered and the finders of these books are encouraged to take them.
