The booklet was written to accompany the Chem@300 Symposium held in Dec 2002 to commemorate the tercentenary of the chair of chemistry at the University of Cambridge. It provides a brief history of the chair, currently known as the BP (1702) Chair of Organic Chemistry, and to show how the various symposium papers relate to one another.
