An exhibition of nursing held in Cambridge to highlight research projects and standards of care in the city. The first ever Cambridge University Hospitals (CUH) Nursing Expo took place at Addenbrooke’s Treatment Centre on Thursday, July 3, from 11am to 3pm with an introduction by chief nurse Ann-Marie Ingle and trust chairman Jane Ramsey. Exhibitors ranged from experts in clinical genetics research and care of the frail elderly, to brand new mental health support tools for patients and staff. Mrs Ingle said: We are proud to have some of the country’s most skilled and dedicated nurses. This Expo is all about celebrating the work that they do across the many services our hospitals provide. “As chief nurse, I am incredibly proud to support all of the hard work our nurses do, and the contributions they make to the huge range of services we offer, from clinical research, to mental health. “While browsing the stands, take a few minutes to talk to the nurses around you, and find out why CUH really is leading the way in world-class patient care. There were talks from nurses throughout the afternoon, with subjects including mini stroke and treatment of brain tumours.
