Biographical / Historical
The guild was founded at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Sept 1889 by Deaconess Katherine Beynon and a few other nurses when Miss Cureton was Matron. Members of the Guild were to be Addenbrooke's nurses past and present and the object was to support a bed in a women's hospital in India.
