Human Resources Police Relations with staff, Management costs, Local Pay Initiatives, equal opportunities.
Estate Strategy including sanctuary housing, security improvements, SmithKline Beecham Building, diabetic Centre, refurbishment of Oncology Clinic, Hospital Main Entrance and concourse. New Development strategy plan Access Plan (reduction in cars, increase in public transport) launched. Transfer of adult acute mental health ward to S4 in Sept 1997. Governments targets re Energy Management met.
Year 2000 computer problems Project team set up to minimise risk from ‘Millennium Bug’
Health and Safety Development during 1997/8 outlined.
Keeping in touch with local community including Public scheduled Board meetings Patients Panel; Communications Team; Web site; Patients Satisfaction Office; Patients Access to own Medical Records (1,762 last year) Support by CHC and local councillors.
Future developments including for 1998/99 in surgery, medicine, oncology, woman’s services, equipment hospital and academic appointments. Fulbourn Hospital Development Plan. New Regional Paediatric ICU. Refurbishment of Out Patients Caner Centre.
