Medical Services and full page photo of Sarah Jones, Sister on Medical Admission unit with Michael Fishpoole, heart patient. Plans for nurse led clinics in GP surgeries to meet increased demand for OP Rheumatology services. Charitable donation to improve services for Diabetic patients. New extension for renal dialysis planned with research fund support. Opening of Medical Admissions Unit (8 beds) and new admissions ward (20 beds)
Specialist Services (Children’s, Neurosciences and Cancer). Photos of child and staff Nurse and Statistics.. Child liver transplants. Extra surgeons appointed for child orthopaedics general surgery and neurosurgery and clinical nurse specialist in child Asthma. Long term plans for Paediatric Unit.
MRC Centre for Brain Repairs opened by the Duke of Edinburgh. Work started on Wolfson Brain Injury Unit. Unique service base for PET and MRI Scanner and Intensive Care Unit under 1 roof.
Success of Drop in Centre for Cancer patients, carers and relatives. New treatments explained.
Women’s Services and Statistics (Maternity, Neonatal Gynaecology and Genetics). Changing Childbirth’ recommendations out response.
Target to halve young teenage pregnancies. Advice at ARK Clinic; work of medical genetics explained.
Diagnostic Services (Pathology Radiology) and photo of a MLSO. Rise in workload. New Pathology computer system in preparations.
Radiology breaking new ground with minimally invasive techniques (e.g. biopsies).
X-ray waiting room refurbished and funded by WRVS opened by National Chairman of WRVS.

Every ward in Rosie Hospital now had digital access control and all exits and entrances monitored by CCTV.
All works to obtain full fire certificate now completed.
565 additional car park spaces opened making a total of 3,135.
Catering and photo of food Court - Cook chill service for patients begins in June 1995 with 9 satellite kitchens near wards.

Listening and communications - Patient Satisfaction and Communication Department Office Shared. Work explained. Trusts first Public Meeting held (over 100 members of the public attended). Open Day attraction in May Patients satisfaction Survey and its results outlined.
