Biographical / Historical

Addenbrooke's Matters is the hospital's newspaper. It has been around since 1992 when Addenbrooke's became an NHS Trust, so it is well known and recognised both inside and outside the hospital and is widely read by the local community, patients and staff. It is an ideal way of encouraging interest in and explaining what the hospital does; making it accountable to the local communities; and therefore hopefully encouraging people's involvement in the future development of the hospital.

Editions are published in spring, autumn and winter. Matters is distributed throughout the hospital, in both public and staff areas, and in the community at GP surgeries, Boots the Chemist, Park and ride sites, libraries and supermarkets. In September 2008 the PR and Communications team introduced a new-style for Matters. It'll be published every two months - keeping you in touch with what's happening in Cambridge University Hospitals. Matters is the magazine for Addenbrooke’s and the Rosie hospitals. It is published every few months and keeps you in touch with what's happening in the Trust.

In August 2012 the PR and Communications team relaunched Matters to include advertising relevant to our local community.
