Scope and Contents
An account written by Coventry of his period as Master of St Edmund's, 25pp typescript. The account ranges into the years preceding his Mastership to the granting of Approved Society status in 1965. Includes some personal background and sections entitled 'On Becoming a College', 'The R C Dimension', 'The Fellowship', 'Organisation', 'Sisters and After' [The Sisters of Our Lady from Germany, brought in by Corboy], 'Other Women' (including the admission of women students in 1977), 'Various Occasions', 'Cambridge Review', and 'Finance'. A note on the cover reads 'thought too racy for general publication'. The account is particularly informative on the level of the social history of St Edmund's.
