Confidential report to the annual general meeting of St Edmund's House, 1944
Scope and Contents
Fuller report, compiled by J E Petit, than that which was produced for general publication. Concerns pressing problems of 1) accommodation and student numbers (gives annual student numbers from 1934 to 1944, rising from 9 in 1934 to 36 in 1944) and 2) the relationship of SEH with the colleges of the University and the difficulty of persuading colleges to accept a candidate from SEH and a renewed suggestion that SEH should become recognised as a Hostel for Catholic Clerics. It was proposed that this report should be sent to The Visitor as having the full support of the AGM and requesting The Visitor to take further action in the matter.
