Scope and Contents
The Board of the United Theological College presented Mr Birks with an Illuminated Address, and the same evening at a dinner at the Mount Royal Club in his honour, the Chairman insisted that he tell the story. The history of the McGill Convocation Address, first given in 1865, is recounted.
