Scope and Contents

The birth had been much better than their first experience and Anne had adapted well, but they were still deciding on a name. He is about to embark on a cycling trip in France via Dieppe. He gives some information about the three year cycle of positions as Proctor for the University, which he is currently in the middle of, as Junior Proctor. A grace for the admission of women to full membership 'would certainly be non-placeted' (voted against by some members of the Senate). As Junior Proctor he is mainly responsible for issuing permits so has had communications with various representatives of University clubs and societies. A large Indian society called the Majlis had been asking to organise a large dinner at the University Arms, which was being organised by the heir to the Maharajah of Jind and the dinner - to be attended by Birdwood and others - was for the Maharajah's golden jubilee. With envelope.
