Letter about various social engagements and visits in Cambridge and his philosophy reading, 1927-05-09
Scope and Contents
He enjoyed the recent 'Country Life' [Katharine was involved in the magazine] and says his sister has got the wrong impression of his friend Brayley. He had invited Sir Evan's grandson (also at Trinity) for lunch and liked him very much. He is nearing the end of Theaetetus and is enjoying philosophy. ("This is far more thrilling to my mind at present than the sort of literature most people find thrilling"). He visited Jack Hamson, who was as enthusiastic about Aristotle as ever, and played tennis in the sun with Brayley. He is really loving Cambridge and hopes the family can visit. With envelope.
