In file marked (erroneously) 'BMA Annual meetings', but containing various papers, 1939-45, and correspondence with Sir Humphry Rolleston re updates to the Encyclopaedia of Medical Practice and with the Daily Mail in response to a request for an article on M & B 693, April-May 1943 (typescript, entitled 'Mice and Men' included). Includes typescript papers on: the early days, months and development of the Army Blood Transusion Service, 1939 and 1945; Sulphonamide drugs; Bacteriology in relation to general medicine; Cerebro-spinal fever; 'Research in War' (Leader for 'The Lancet', Feb. 1940; 'Biological Aspect of Infected Wounds', 1940 (published in 'The Lancet', 6 Apr. 1940); 'Diseases of the Blood-Forming Organs', 1940; 'Septicaemia: A Critical Review', c.1940 (with handwritten annotations in pencil).
