Immediate Source of Acquisition
These drawings were transferred from the Rare Books Dept. on 24 July 2001. They had been listed as Graystone 441 and RBK2349 and described as the Graystone Watercolours Collection. It is not clear from the drawings themselves what their [or the artists'] connection with Graystone is, and because of the lack of provenance information / donation correspondence, we can only assume that these papers did eventually belong to the Graystone family, and were probably acquired by Downing College as part of the Graystone bequest.
