Description of estate lands re their extent / acreage / locations / tenure etc. Does not include surveys for explicitly stated valuations, repair, and sale purposes. Contains sub-series for 'West Cambs Estate' maps and terriers; also includes plans and surveys for the Wimpole-Potton turnpike road.

Biographical / Historical
Farm names changed as their acreage were added to and amalgamated. For example, in Croydon, Salts Dairy and Simpson's Dairy became Croydon Farm; Adam's Dairy became Valley Farm; part of Pettits Dairy became Low Farm; Clapton Dairy and part of Pettits Dairy became Croydon House. Other farms formed Croydon Hill Farm and Top Farm.
