Clayton-Jones of The Lancet re a suggested article, 11 May 1940; letter to the Secretary of The Royal Society of Arts thanking the Society for the award of a Silver Medal for his paper, 12 July 1945; letter to Mrs Wynne-Wilson, mother of his driver for the duration of the war, thanking her for her contribution as a volunteer with the Army Blood Transfusion Service, commenting "I believe that you have supplied us with something approaching one million swabs" and also describing the service of his 'faithful driver', 6 July 1945; letter and extract from British Medical Journal Supplement re an error in reporting Whitby's transfer from the T.
