A letter to S.C.B. Gascoigne, 9 August 1971, suggesting subjects for discussion at the meeting of the Rodgers Committee on 27 August, and also recommending that J.D. Pope and representatives from P.I.L.O.T. (Panel on Instrumentation for Large Optical Telescopes) be invited. The letter was written following the receipt of an enclosed telegram from the Science Research Council, 4 August 1971, relaying the contents of a cable from D.W. Cunliffe.
