Biography
Laurence Housman (1865-1959), playwright, socialist, pacifist, younger brother of Alfred Edward Housman (1859-1936), poet, classical scholar. Ida Stafford-Northcote (d.1978) was the wife of Leonard Stafford-Northcote (1879-1942). Ida was usually addressed in the letters 'Muziful', and Laurence usually signed himself 'Lollynge'. Clemence Annie Housman (1861-1955), illustrator, suffragette, lived with Housman for many years, latterly at Street, Somerset.
