Biography
The author is probably Basil Ferris Campbell Atkinson (1895-1971), who matriculated at Magdalene College, Cambridge, in 1914 (Ph.D., 1926). Atkinson was Under Librarian and Keeper of Manuscripts at the Cambridge University Library. He also wrote on theological subjects.

A handlist in three volumes of manuscripts in part of the Two-Letter classmark sequence (Dd-Kk).Charles Sayle’s work on producing descriptions of medieval manuscripts at Cambridge University Library appears to have ceased in late 1920 (see UA ULIB 7/3/72).
