Biography

Henry John Hasted (1808-1880) was born on 20 October 1808, and educated in Bury St Edmunds. He entered Magdalene College, Cambridge, in 1827 (B.A., 1831; M.A., 1834), and was ordained deacon in 1831, and priest in 1832. He was Rector of Bradfield-Combust and of Little Welnetham, Suffolk, 1832-1849, Rector of Sproughton, 1849-1880, and Rural Dean of Sampford, 1857-1877. He died on 13 June 1880.
