Biography

Kathleen Louise Wood-Legh (1901-1981) was born in Ontario, Canada, and attended McGill University. Despite suffering from blindness, she obtained a Ph.D. in British medieval history from Cambridge University in 1932, and went on to publish journals and articles on medieval history, as well as founding the Lucy Cavendish College of Women in Cambridge.
