Biography

Dorothy Senior Dean (later Mrs Ince) was born in 1885. She attended Girton College, Cambridge, and took part I of the Mathematics Tripos in 1907. After completing her undergraduate studies, she lived in a boarding house at 74 Trumpington Street, Cambridge.

A diary kept by Dorothy Dean while resident at 74 Trumpington Street, describing her life in Cambridge and her visits to the London theatre and the health resort of Droitwich. There are inserted photographs, postcards and theatre programmes. At front of the volume is the inscription 'Dorothy S. Dean. Droitwich. Jan 1st 1911'. At the back, on the reverse of the page, are details of her income and expenditure. There is an accompanying description of the collection on a piece of card.
