Biography

Hercules Sharpe (d. 1858) married Anne, daughter of Sir Anthony Brabazon, 1st Baronet, of co. Mayo, and had four children, including the painter Hercules Brabazon Sharpe (1821-1906). The family lived at Blackhall Manor, co. Durham, until 1832, when they settled at the estate of Oaklands, near Sedlescombe, Sussex.
