Biography
On 27 August 1895 C. Sever of Llandudno departed from London on a pleasure cruise to Moscow. Travelling on SS Garonne, he visited Copenhagen, Visby, Stockholm, Cronstadt and St Petersburg on route to his destination. He returned via St Petersburg, Kiel, Cuxhaven and Heligoland, arriving back in London on 21 September 1895.

Scope and Contents
'The North Sea and the Baltic in 1895. Journal of a pleasure cruise from London to St Petersburg, Moscow, &c. by C.S.' The volume begins with Sever's description of his voyage and the places he visited, 55 pages, followed by a list of the passengers on the SS Garonne. The rest of the book contains pictures, postcards and photographs of places visited during the cruise. The volume was probably printed at the family printing works in Manchester; some of the captions to the illustrations...
