Four black and white photographs of the erection of the 40-inch telescope at the Cape Observatory in 1963. There is an accompanying letter from R.H. Stoy to Albert Lambourne, 19 November 1963, presenting the photographs to him, and a note of 12 July 1984 regarding the presentation of the photographs to the Archives by Mr Ticehurst.
