Biography

Arthur William Young (1852-1936) was born in London on 27 June 1852. He attended Eton, before entering Trinity College, Cambridge, in 1871 (B.A., 1876; M.A., 1884). He was admitted at Lincoln's Inn in 1877, and was called to the Bar in 1890. He died at Daylesford in 1936.

Catalogue of Bibles in Young's possession, written on 239 blue slips and pasted into the volume, 94 folios. The price, provenance, and date of purchase are generally included. The bibles were donated to the Library with the catalogue in 1933.
