Biography

Peter Newcome (1656-1738), Church of England clergyman, was born in 1656. He went to Oxford in March 1675, and graduated BA in 1678 and MA in 1681. He became curate of Hook in Hampshire in 1680 and became vicar of Aldenham in Hertfordshire in 1683 where he stayed there until 1704, when he was presented the living as vicar of Hackney, Middlesex.
