Biography
Spencer George Perceval (1838-1922), antiquary and geologist, was born on 8 July 1838, the son of Ernest August Perceval, Captain, 15th Hussars. He attended Radley College, before entering Trinity College, Cambridge, in 1858 (B.A., 1862). He lived at Severn House, Henbury, in Gloucestershire, and at Longwitton Hall, Northumberland. He died on 7 March 1922.

Minutes of meetings of the committee of Broadmead Baptist Chapel, Bristol, the first meeting reported as being held on 14 May 1838, the last on 9 January 1872, 70 folios. Pasted inside the front cover is an extract from The Bristol times and mirror, 16 November 1909, being a letter contributed by S.G. Perceval, announcing his discovery of the book.
