Scope and Contents Correspondence, diagrams and calculations on tides and waves for the 'Encyclopaedia Metropolitana'. The correspondents include H.J. Rose, J. Challis, W. Hopkins, D.F.J. Arago, F. Beaufort and J.F.W. Herschel. The papers include a world map (Mecator projection) showing magnetic variation and dip, and a notebook titled 'Tides for Encyclopaedia Metropolitana, Examination of Books'.
