The correspondents include R. Sheepshanks, J.F.W. Herschel, J.D. Forbes, C.P. Smyth, Sir B. Hawes, M.J. Johnson, W.H. Miller, J. Challis, Sir F. Beaufort and the Chancellor of the Exchequer.
