Family correspondence, particularly with JA's parents, Leo Amery and Florence Amery, and his wife, Lady Catherine [earlier Catherine Macmillan], and also some correspondence with close family friends, letters received on various family events and letters of condolence on the deaths of family members.

Scope and Contents Leo Amery had written and published the first three volumes of his autobiography, "My Political Life", in the 1950s, covering the period up to 1940, and in 1955 produced ten draft chapters of a fourth volume. However, his death in 1955 meant that this final volume was never completed. JA intended to finish his father's work himself, following the completion of his own memoirs ["Approach March"] but other work intervened.
