Note from Mary Shearburn [Secretary to WSC, later Mary Thompson] to WSC, on a leak in the roof at Chartwell [Kent] which could be repaired with sail cloth and tar, stating that to obtain the sail cloth it was necessary to obtain a Priority Order from the Ministry of Supply [annotated by WSC with a note to the Private Office, asking them to arrange this "if it is not improper"].
