The Marsh papers consist of photocopies of correspondence and papers relating mainly to Winston Churchill.

The material held at Churchill Archives Centre mainly consists of Colville's diaries. They provide an insight into the decision-making of three Prime Ministers and the meetings held with other top officials, as well as the lives of key figures during World War II, and its aftermath.

Comprising Martin Gilbert's correspondence with Robert Hastings of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky and Walker (lawyers) and with Churchill College (including Churchill Archives Centre) staff.

The collection largely comprises research papers, particularly about Yugoslavia [now Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Slovenia] during the Second World War, 1950s-1990s. In addition, a small number of papers concern Deakin's work on "Marlborough: His Life and Times", mainly consisting of typed transcripts of letters and documents used in research, and on Churchill's history of the Second World War.

The main body of the collection is a series of personal scrapbooks collated and kept by Vanda Salmon about her life and career. These are supplemented by her own unpublished writings and memoir.
