An investigation into the latitude of Uranibourg from the meridian altitudes of stars observed by Tycho Brahe and a comparison of his observed meridian altitudes of the Sun with Le Verrier's solar tables together with an investigation into the place of the ecliptic, 1582-1590. The volume also contains an investigation into Hevelius's observations of the Sun's meridian altitude in 1679.

A copy of star catalogues by Ulug Beigh, Tycho, William of Hesse and Johann Hevelius (3r-22v), with Flamsteed's own tables of the planets (33r-40r), and of the Moon (40r-46v), 48 folios. The volume is undated, but there is reference to observations made by Flamsteed between January 1690 and August 1719. The writing is in various hands, with some alterations by Flamsteed.
