Biography

L. Pedrotti had a studio in Bulawayo in the early 1900s. Pedrotti produced a portfolio illustrating the funeral of Cecil John Rhodes in 1902.

Scope and Contents An album containing prints measuring approximately 285 x 220 mm. with letterpress captions pasted onto the bottoms of the prints. The captions have been used as titles and have been recorded as found. The majority of the prints are signed in the negative. With the album is a booklet containing the order of service, the whole contained in a folder bound in hide. The captions have been used as titles and have been recorded as found. Numbers 1-5 are platinum prints, distinguishable from silver prints by the delicacy and softness of tonal gradation.
