Biography

Marmaduke Henry Arnott trained at the Royal Indian Engineering College, Cooper's Hill. He was appointed to the Indian Public Works Department on the 23rd September 1881 and was posted to Bengal. In March 1894 he was the Executive Engineer and by December 1908 he was the Superintending Engineer. In April 1912 he was transferred to Bihar and Orissa. From 1898 until 1903 he was in charge of the restoration work on the Bhuvanesvar temples. He retired in July 1913.
