55 x 68 mm. Half-length, full-face portrait of Sir James Tennant taken shortly before his death. Photograph by Antoine Claudet. The reverse of the mount is stamped: 'A. Claudet, 107, Regent Street. Photographer to Her Majesty'.

62 x 77 mm. Oval. Half length portrait miniature of Sir James Tennant as a youth, mounted in a leather case. The inscription pasted onto the lid reads: 'My father when he left for India 1805 [followed by, in a later hand] 'My' is Louisa Harriet Tennant afterwards Mrs W.M. Leake'. Artist unknown, but an accomplished and attractive portrait.
