245 x 190 mm. The Imperial Press Union, now the Commonwealth Press Union, was founded in 1909 and held a series of conferences at five yearly intervals. The fourth of these was held in London in 1930 and was opened by the Prime Minister, the Right Honourable J. Ramsay MacDonald. The photograph shows Mr MacDonald standing behind a table on the right; to the left is the front row of participants, with Sir Campbell Stuart and Sir Harry Brittain prominent in the centre.
