The significance of these is not clear; they are 'Unto us a child is born: There is hope in their end: Can these bones live: The ancient of days did sit.' The base of the window is inscribed: 'In memory of John Hanning Speke OBT Sept. 15th, 1864 AET 37, presented by his uncle John Lee Lee.'
