Biography

Sache first worked in America before establshing himself in Calcutta in 1865. He worked in Bombay in 1869 and in the 1870s operated studios in Lucknow, Naini Tal, Meerut and Mussoorie. He appears to have left India in the early 1880s.

203 x 238 mm. View looking along the ridge at Almora, with bungalows dotting the hillside and a fort in the distance. It was famed as a resort for those suffering from lung afflictions and later a station for the Gurkhas. Photograph by Sashe, no. 484.
