Scope and Contents

Mainly medical notes kept by Seaman when surgeon of the 18th Royal Irish Foot; also includes copies of writings of contemporary men of letters and enlightenment; sketches, charts and diagrams; illustrations of Nicholas, Emperor of Russia, and Bruges [notes from L C B Seaman]. Also a 'Journal from England to Curacao, 1807'. Seaman notes that it includes close observation of cholera and yellow fever.
